It is medley of dance and music. It is an entertaining portrayal of songs and movement that compliment a theme. We are a legally registered organization and championships as per Registration Number: 2015/26034.

  1. We are a production team that promotes revue among schools to optimal development of each participating school.
  2. Professional sound and lighting during all performances.
  3. Qualified judges (Experts in the field).
  4. Prize money for winning schools.
  5. Healthy and constructive competition.
  6. Each School will be given an 30 minute Pre-run for stage placements and plotting of lights.
  7. Final arrangements will be given in writing to the schools on the proceedings.

THE FOLLOWING PROVINCES ARE WELCOME TO ENTER BY DVD TO QUALIFY:

Western Cape • Northern Cape • Eastern Cape • Kwa Zulu Natal • Freestate

Sections

  1. Junior Revue – Gr 1 – 4
  2. Senior Revue – Gr 5 – 7
  3. High Schools
  4. Time:
    • Junior Revue – 15 Minutes
    • Senior Revue – 15 Minutes
    • High School – 15 Minutes
  5. Song Choices should be conductive to relevant group/theme.
  6. Production should show a theme/plot.
  7. No intervals in music or on stage. The production should form unity.
  8. 24+ members/students per group.
  9. No original songs of artists may be used, the schools must arrange for copyright of original music pieces.
  10. Costumes contribute to the completion and must support the theme.
  11. Each School is responsible for their own props. No responsibility will be accepted for lost or damaged of props.
  1. The judging panel will consist of 3 adjudicators for the Semi-Finals and 5 adjudicators for the final event.
  2. The panel will be made known to all the participating schools.
  3. The organizers will invite a panel of judges to observe the judging of the competition.
  4. A controller will assist the judges to process all the data and the results accurately and as quickly as possible.
  5. Results are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. The duties of the controller is to verify the data of each judge and make sure it is signed off by each individual Judge.
  2. Each teacher/coordinator of the school will, with the controller, verify all scores and take possession of the original score sheet once captured.
  3. The combined results of the judges should be immediately processed, printed and verified by the controller.

The South Africa Revue Championships will be hosted at the Moreleta Kerk – Moreleta Park which is a 5 star Theatre and has specific rules and responsibilities. Schools who wishes to enter, please contact Elzette Groenewald on elzette@sacopa.co.za for more information.
