SOUTH AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

1 – 10 April 2016

Rustenburg Civic Centre

After months of hard work the regional auditions have drawn to a close. Our provincial teams have been chosen and our offices are a hive of activity in preparation for the SOUTH AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Thousands of entries have been received from around the country and we are very excited about this year’s championships.

In less than a month we will bring together South Africa’s best performers to compete for the ultimate prize – that gold medal that will be your key to the World Championships in L.A.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE

The Gauteng Department of Arts and Culture have confirmed that SACOPA will from now on be the only accredited competition in the province. All schools in the West Rand will now award honorary colours to all participants as well and we are currently negotiating with all departments in the other provinces.

The RACA Eistedfod has signed a 5 year contract with us, by which all their diamond and platinum winners will now compete at the SA Championships, as their next level of competition.

The team spirit at SA Champs 2015 was amazing and we have decided to add a new trophy to the competition this year! A special trophy will be awarded at the showcase for the province who showed the best team spirit during the competition. THE CHALLENGE IS ON!

The tentative schedule for the SA Championships 2016 will be available on the SACOPAwebsite from 20 March. Remember to check out our website – www.sacopa.co.za
